About Mike Thurow
Mike Thurow is a union fire captain, HAZMAT technician, and father of four from Mequon, Wisconsin. He spent nearly a decade serving people at Healthcare for the Homeless before joining the Milwaukee Fire Department in 2013, rising to captain and leading a HAZMAT team. He earned FBI and Secret Service commendations for his response to an anthrax scare in Milwaukee. [VERIFY: see reviewer notes.] Now he is running as an independent for Congress in Wisconsin's 6th District, taking no corporate PAC money and answering to no party. His message is simple: when there's a fire, you don't pick who to save. You show up and do the work.
